Blue Ventures is an award-winning marine conservation organisation dedicated to conservation, education and sustainable development in tropical coastal communities. Through our marine expeditions, volunteers from around the world join us on career breaks, student gap years and internships, working closely with our field research teams in partnership with local communities.
2013 marks the tenth anniversary of Blue Ventures' marine expeditions and to celebrate we are running an exciting competition on our Facebook Page offering entrants the chance to win an expedition to either Belize or Madagascar. The winner will have all accommodation, PADI dive training and meals paid for during a 3-6 week expedition in one of Blue Ventures eco-friendly research sites. It is a fantastic opportunity for a scientist, student, career changer or keen scuba diver to join one of Blue Ventures' expeditions.
The competition can be entered by answering a simple question about fish and is open to anyone aged over 18 years old, anywhere in the world, who can swim over 400 metres. It finishes on the 31st May 2013. The winner must consent to their name and photograph being used in publicity materials and they will be asked to write a diary entry about their trip for Blue Ventures' popular blog.
Richard Nimmo, Blue Ventures Managing Director, commented: "Our expeditions have been widely recognised as outstanding – we won Best Volunteering Organisation in the Responsible Tourism Awards in 2010 and in the British Youth Travel Awards in 2012. We wanted to celebrate our tenth anniversary by saying a big thank you to our loyal supporters."
The competition can be entered here http://apps.facebook.com/easypromos/promotions/60533 or via the Blue Ventures Page on Facebook.
