3rd July 2013, London - A landmark meeting was held at the University of Exeter on 26 June 2013, bringing together eminent academics specialising in the evaluation of complex systems with representatives from the Population-Health-Environment (PHE) community. The aim was to explore some methods that could be used to capture the complexity of integrated PHE programmes.
1st July 2013, Belo sur Mer, Madagascar - Following a reproductive health needs assessment conducted earlier this year, Blue Ventures is launching a community health programme in the Belo sur Mer area, integrating closely with on-going marine conservation initiatives. The programme will initially reach 8,000 people across 10 villages, and represents the first replication of Blue Ventures’ award-winning Population-Health-Environment (PHE) approach beyond the Velondriake area.

21 November 2011, Maintirano, Madagascar. In late November a team of marine scientists and environmental reporters will embark on a pioneering research expedition along the remote west coast of Madagascar. Based aboard a traditional Malagasy wooden sailing dhow, the international team will survey the health and biodiversity of the Barren Isles, a 100km long chain of coral islands off the west coast of the Madagascar; working above and below the water to support the conservation of one of the Mozambique Channel's remotest and least known coral reef archipelagos.
