In addition to the guidance and support provided to volunteers by Blue Ventures marine and social scientists on site, volunteers undertaking dissertation or thesis research have access to a highly experienced academic support network to assist in project development both before and after an expedition.

Blue Ventures' research team in London has diverse experience of ecological and social research in tropical marine and coastal issues, and is able to provide volunteers with constructive advice and assistance at all stages of project development.

The Blue Ventures academic support network includes staff from a wide range of leading research organisations and academic institutions around the globe.  World experts in a number of relevant fields are on hand to provide additional academic support to research projects.  

I believe six weeks spent in Andavadoaka is about the best experience a student interested in marine biology and conservation could get.  BV volunteers benefit enormously from the well established science programme which ensures that their work really makes a difference to conservation.  The diverse experience of the field staff also allows each volunteer to explore individual interests such as underwater photography or fisheries research.
