Did you know that June 8th is World Oceans Day?
Help us change the future for both the seas & children in Velondriake, Madagascar by giving them an education this June 8th.
Every year on June 8th, events are held all over the world to celebrate our oceans. The worlds oceans & seas give us life, food, regulate climate and so much more. This year the theme for World Oceans Day is "Youth: the Next Wave for Change' as research has clearly shown that youth are the most promising members of any society to reach out to if there is to be a lasting change.
BV is investing in primary and secondary education for the children of Andavaoaka, working to provide scholarships and other extracurricular support to help kids to access education and to succeed as students. Education is an essential component of our integrated approach to conservation, because improving education and literacy helps the community to conserve its natural resources, diversify local economic opportunities beyond fishing and improve overall wellbeing.
Lets celebrate World Oceans Day, and help to shape a new generation of marine conservationists! Becoming a donor to our scholarship and education programme is one of the best ways to do so, promising long-term positive impacts for the Velondriake community and natural resource base.
